I’m Dženan Hamzić, a computer scientist, AI and cybersecurity researcher, and technology entrepreneur based in Vienna, Austria, with roots in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I work as a Scientist at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and pursue my doctoral research at TU Wien. My professional and academic interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and intelligent information systems.

My research focuses on Large Language Models (LLMs), Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, and the application of machine learning to complex real-world problems. I am particularly interested in transforming scientific research into practical technologies that create measurable value.

Beyond academia, I am passionate about entrepreneurship, economics, and investing. I believe technology should not only advance scientific knowledge but also create opportunities, improve everyday life, and contribute to economic development.

I am the founder of Škrtica.ba, a technology platform that helps consumers in Bosnia and Herzegovina compare prices across hundreds of online stores, discover better deals, and make smarter purchasing decisions.

Having built my career across Bosnia and Herzegovina and Austria, I value international collaboration, continuous learning, and connecting people, ideas, and opportunities across borders.
